NorthLand specializes in environmental services including environmental due diligence, remediation, compliance, and permitting, and strives to provide responsive service that produces specialized results to fit the needs of each client. NorthLand partners with clients to ensure optimal, cost-effective solutions are achieved.
But it's not just about what NorthLand can do for its clients, it's about what NorthLand's clients need. That's why NorthLand maintains relationships with a variety of other consultants - to make sure the needs of the client are met by the people who can do it best.
At NorthLand, it's not about "getting one project done and moving on to the next one", it's about doing the work right and to the NorthLand standard of quality. Of course, deadlines need to be met, but environmental consulting is too enjoyable to mindlessly crank out results, and anything that's enjoyable is easy to do to the best of one's abilities.
What NorthLand is all about
A little about me
I'm Brandyn Ehlis, the owner and sole employee at NorthLand. I'm originally from Mandan and graduated from NDSU in Fargo with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. With the exception of spending my first few years after college in the Minneapolis area, I have made the Fargo and Bismarck-Mandan areas home since graduating from college. Above all else I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, but I also enjoy environmental consulting, playing softball, hunting, playing horseshoes, wrestling, watching Bison football (and wrestling and basketball...I'd can enjoy watching anything Bison), and struggling to watch my Twins and Vikings.
I have over a dozen years of experience as an engineer, most of which have been as an environmental consultant, and I am licensed as a Professional Engineer in North Dakota and Minnesota. I've had the pleasure of working with and learning from very intelligent and interesting folks on a wide variety of projects throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Wisconsin, and South Dakota.
I enjoy environmental consulting because every project brings new challenges and experiences. I find something special in learning about different industries, facilities, and old buildings, or being in an environment that most people will never experience. I also enjoy the good folks I get to meet, everyone from the client with whom I can develop a great relationship to the person working the front desk with whom I can have a brief discussion about this, that, or the other thing. I like to think that the enjoyment I have in my work is reflected through my positive attitude, which then makes for a better experience for the client.
